Safaricom has increased MPesa mobile money sending and withdrawal charges by 3% following the rise in excise duty on mobile money services from 12% to 15%, as stipulated in the Finance Bill of 2023. The new MPesa charges took effect immediately.
The maximum amount you can transact per day has been adjusted upwards to Ksh. 500,000, but you are only allowed to transact up to Ksh. 150,000 at a time.
You can access MPesa services on your Safaricom line either through the MPesa menu in SIM Tool Kit or by dialing the MPesa USSD shortcode *334#.

You can now withdraw up to Ksh. 35,000 from any ATM machine using Mpesa.
Take note that all Mpesa deposits, buying airtime from the Mpesa account, Mpesa registration, balance inquiry, and change of MPesa PIN are totally free.
Here is what you should note when using Safaricom Mpesa services:
- Mpesa charges will depend on the amount you are sending or withdrawing
- Your Safaricom line and Mpesa account must be active for you to transact
- The maximum account balance is now Ksh. 500,000
- You can transact up to Ksh. 300,000 in a single day with a maximum per transaction capped at Ksh. 150,000
- The Minimum you can withdraw at any Mpesa agent is Ksh. 50
- You can initiate self-reversal by sending the transaction confirmation message to 456
- You cannot deposit money directly into another Mpesa customer’s account
- You earn Bonga points when you transact with Mpesa
- You need a Kenyan ID or a Kenyan Passport in order to transact at Mpesa agent outlets.

Why is Safaricom not publishing transaction fee! What am seeing here is Mpesa charges only. Kindly give out the list for transaction fee also
