How to Register and Apply for Airtel Money Loan

There are three mobile loans offered on the Airtel network in Kenya that a user of Airtel Money can apply for a loan using a USSD code. You can access M-Fanisi, Kopa Cash, and Xpress mobile loans by dialing *222# on your Airtel Money registered line.

Each Airtel mobile loan has minimum conditions you have to meet before registering and requesting loans. Kopa Cash and M-Fanisi have mobile loan apps to aid in facilitating registration and loan applications.

Airtel Money Mobile Loan Products

1. M-Fanisi Loan

M-Fanisi is offered by Maisha Microfinance Bank to both Airtel Money and M-Pesa subscribers.

M-Fanisi loans are repayable within 7, 14, and 30 days periods at one-off facility fees as follows:

• 4% for 7-day loan
• 6% for 14-day loan
• 10% for 30-day loan

How to Register and Get M-Fanisi Loan on Airtel

1. Dial*222# on your Airtel Money line
2. Select Loans and Savings
3. Select M-Fanisi
4. Accept the terms  and conditions
5. Enter your ID Number
6. Complete the registration with your Airtel Money PIN

You will receive a notification message from M-Fanisi about your registration status.

You can now check your loan limit and request a loan by dialing *222#, selecting Loans and Savings, M-Fanisi, and following through with the prompts.

If the application is successful, the loan will be deposited directly into your Airtel Money account minus the one-off charges.

2. Kopa Cash Loan

Kopa Cash is a mobile loan product from Jumo in collaboration with Airtel Money. Its counterpart, KopaFloat, allows Airtel Agents to borrow mobile money float and continue transacting with customers as usual.

How to Get Kopa Cash Loan

Kopa Cash will decide whether to offer you a loan or not depending on how frequently you use Airtel Money services.

1. Dial *222# from Airtel line
2. Select Loans and Savings
3. Select Kopa Cash
4. Enter your Airtel Money PIN
5. Select Get a loan

Kopa Cash will alert you on whether you qualify for the loan or not. If you qualify for the loan, complete by following through with the process to request for the loan.

3. Xpress Loan

Xpress is a product of Ecobank in collaboration with Airtel Money.

How to Register and Request a Loan

1. Dial *222# from Airtel line
2. Select Loans and Savings
3. Select Xpress
4. Enter your Airtel Money PIN and follow through with the process to request for Xpress loan if you qualify at this time.

Hustler Fund Loan

This is a loan product from the government in partnership with Airtel Money and M-Pesa. Hustler Fund gives you access to either personal loans or business loans.

You can access the loans by dialing *254# and making initial registration and activation of your account, before accessing the loan services.
