You need to have registered and activated your Airtel or Safaricom line for Equity Bank mobile banking services. You don’t require an Equitel line for this method.

To transfer cash to MPesa from Equity Bank via USSD:

1. Dial *247# from any line (Safaricom, Airtel)
2. Select your preferred language
3. If your Equity account is linked, then you will be asked to enter your banking PIN. Otherwise, you will be prompted to link your existing account.

If you have an Equitel line you can follow these steps to withdraw cash to Safaricom Mpesa:

1. Go to the Equitel sim toolkit on your phone
2. Now, select My Money option
3. Select the Send/ Pay option
4. Select the Equity account number you want to withdraw from and then press OK
5. Next, select To Others option
6. Select Mpesa
7. Enter the Mpesa mobile phone number you want to send to
8. Enter the amount you wish to send
