How to Pay for GOtv Kenya by MPesa Paybill Number

It is now very easy to pay for your GOtv Kenya subscription just from the comfort of your phone through the Lipa Na Mpesa paybill number.

Thanks to mobile money interoperability in Kenya, you can now pay for GOtv from any mobile money wallet using the GOtv business number 423655.

Sometimes after paying for your subscription, an error E16 pops up on your TV. In this case, you will have to reactivate your decoder in simple steps outlined at the tail end of this article.

Paying for GOtv by Lipa Na  MPesa Paybill

Here are simplified steps on how you can pay for your GOtv subscription via MPesa:

1. Make sure your decoder is ON and connected to the antenna, before paying for a subscription
2. Next, Select Lipa na Mpesa from the Mpesa menu
3. Select Pay Bill
4. Insert 423655 as the business number
5. For the account number, use the ICU number located on the orange sticker at the bottom of the GOtv decoder
6. Enter the amount of the package you wish to pay for
7. Enter your Mpesa pin
8. Verify the information given  is correct and then Send

After a short while, you will receive a confirmation message from GOtv and another notification from MPesa.

You will have to wait for some time before the decoder services are activated.

How to Re-Activate GOtv Decoder and Clear Error E16

After successful payment for your package, sometimes no channel will be showing and instead, you will see a blank screen written Error 16.

To clear the error and activate your decoder again, send a message with the word RESET followed by your decoder IUC Number to 22688.

You can also use the USSD code *423#  and follow the on-screen messages shown to reset your decoder and clear the error.

Alternatively, you can clear any GOtv error faster by visiting the GOtv Kenya Eazy Self-Service Website.

Enter your IUC number, select the error to clear, enter the capture text shown and click on the button FIX ERROR.
