Mpesa Statement: Register and Get by Email, USSD

Safaricom now has a convenient way for you to register and obtain an MPesa statement right from their mobile phones, without the need to visit Safaricom retail outlets. All the e-statement registrations are done through the USSD code *334#. Once registered,  you can request either a mini statement or an authenticated, stamped MPesa statement whenever you need it, on a monthly basis, 6 months, or at any time as required.

You may require MPesa statements for purposes such as monitoring your financial activities or applying for loans from financial institutions and certain mobile loan apps.

In order to receive and download the stamped e-statement to your email address, you need to register for the service first by following simple steps.

How to Register for MPesa Statement

1. Dial *334# from your M-PESA registered line
2. Select My Account
3. Next, select  the option M-PESA Statement
4. Select Register for email statement
5. Accept Terms and Conditions
6. Enter a valid e-mail address
7. Confirm that the details are correct
8. Enter your M-PESA PIN
9. You will receive an SMS confirming that your registration request has been received and is being processed
10. You’ll also get an email with a one-time OTP code to verify the email
11. Dial *334# again
12. Select My Account
13. Select M-PESA Statement
14. Select the option Verify Email using OTP
15. Enter the OTP sent to the email address you provided
16. You’ll get a notification confirming your successful monthly M-PESA statement email registration

Once registered, you will receive a monthly statement sent to your email between the 1st and 5th of every month. You can follow the same steps to opt out of the monthly statements.

How to Download and Open MPesa Statement Send by Email

To receive your monthly MPesa statements by email, make sure you have completed the registration process as outlined above. Then, to easily access your statements for any period, follow these simple steps:

• Dial *334#
• Select My Account
• Select M-PESA Statement
• Request either a full statement or mini statement
• Your stamped  statement will be sent to your email and a notification sent to you on SMS
• You can now login to the email you provided to download your statement.
• Use your ID Number as the password to open the MPesa statement.

Features of the Safaricom MPesa e-Statement

• It is free and accessible to all registered MPesa customers.
• You have to opt in for on-demand or monthly statements by registering using the *334# USSD code.
• You can request for your M-PESA statement up to 3 times a day.
• The Statements are e-stamped automatically and verified as true statements from Safaricom without you going to retail centres to get them stamped.
• You can only register one email address, but you can change your email as many times as you want.
• You will receive your monthly statement sent once between the 1^st and 5^th of every month.
• You can request MPesa statements varying by 3 months, 6 months, and 12 months or a specific date or period ranging within 30 days.
• To get statements older than one year, you are advised to visit a Safaricom Retail centre to receive them.
