The Social Health Insurance Fund, SHIF, under the new Social Health Authority (SHA) offers specialized coverage and treatment in areas where a patient may require the help of radiology services. Radiological services covered under some accredited outpatient hospitals include Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Computerized Tomography (CT) scan, and Ultra Sound.

It’s disappointing to be contributing throughout every year and when you require the services it’s not approved quoting that the service is not within the scope of cover. My MRI request has not been approved and I am admitted in the hospital and I require the MRI urgently.
