WTTI is a public TVET college offering a variety of certificate, diploma, and KASNEB courses in artisan fields. They also provide on-demand short courses in various industrial fields, making them a great option for those looking to upskill or start a new career.

The institute is conveniently located 3 kilometers from Wote town along the Wote-Makindu road, making it easily accessible for students from the surrounding area. They also have flexible intake periods, with intakes normally done in January, May and September.

WTTI’s courses are mainly examined by KNEC and KASNEB, ensuring that students receive a quality education that is recognized by employers.

Wote Technical Training Institute Minimum Requirements for Courses

Diploma courses require at least a C- in KCSE and take 3 years per module to complete. Certificate courses require D plain in KCSe and take 2 years per module to finish.

Artisan courses take a year and require a minimum of a KCPE certificate.

KASNEB and accounting courses require at least C+ (plus) mean grade at KCSE in addition to C+ in both English and Mathematics.

Accounting KASNEB Courses (Parallel – Intakes in Jan and July)

ATD 1 requires a C- in KCSE while CPA 1 requires at least C+ in KCSE and C+ in Maths and English.

How to Apply for Courses at WTTI

Method 1: You can download and carefully fill the application form from the Wote TTI website.

The form should be filled in BLOCK LETTERS and then delivered to registrar at Wote TTI or sent to the following addresses:

Please attach copies of the following documents before submitting the complete form:

  1. National ID
  2. KCSE Certificate/ Result Slip
  3. KCPE Certificate
  4. Secondary Leaving Certificate
  5. Birth Certificate
  6. 2 Coloured Passport size photographs
  7. Deposit slip for the non-refundable application fee of Ksh 500, from KCB Account Number 1105324559 or Paybill No.178495.

Method 2: Apply Through KUCCPS Students Portal

Apply through the KUCCPS portal and prequalify for government sponsorship.

Once KUCCPS has offered you placement for your course at Wote TTI, you can download your admission letter and joining instructions from the Wote website: www.wotetti.ac.ke.

Wote Technical Training Institute Fee Structure

Fees for public TVET colleges are relatively the same. Students pay a sum of Ksh. 67,189 per academic year, for diploma, certificate and artisan courses. This fee does not include, external examination fees, accommodation and other admission payments for new students.

Students who apply and get placements through KUCCPS will benefit from Government sponsorship and HELB loans, which can be applied through the Higher Education Fund (HEF) student portals.
