Bondo Technical Training Institute Courses and Fee Structure

Bondo Technical Training Institute is a government of Kenya sponsored TVET college offering artisan, craft, and diploma courses in engineering, business studies, and ICT. The college is located in Siaya County, Bondo Sub-County, 5 kilometers along Barkowino Misori Road.

Since Bondo TTI is a public TVET institution, students who apply through the KUCCPS Students Portal get automatic government capitation of Ksh. 30,000 per academic year subtracted from their fees.

In addition, they get access to bursaries and HELB loans of up to Ksh. 40,000 per academic year.

Courses Requirements at Bondo Technical Training Institute

Artisan courses require at least a KCPE certificate qualification while craft courses require at least a D plain in KCSE or a relevant artisan certificate.

Diploma courses require a C- (minus) in KCSE. Additional requirements for ICT and Building & Civil Engineering diploma courses are at least D+ (plus) in either mathematics or physics.

Diploma courses take 9 terms while craft certificate courses take 7 terms. Artisan courses run for 4 terms including attachment.

Bondo TTI Fee Structure

Students pay Ksh. 25,670 for term 1 and Ksh. 30,750 for term 2, a total of Ksh. 56, 420 per academic year.

However, students who apply through the KUCCPS website will pay only Ksh. 26,420 per year since the government will pay for them the Ksh. 30,000 capitation.

If you apply for HELB loan, the remaining Ksh. 26,420 will be sent to the college account and additional Ksh. 13,760 send to the students personal account for upkeep.

New students will pay an additional Ksh. 300 for college ID, Ksh. 500 for caution money, and Ksh. 900 per year for the students union.

Accommodation at the college is offered at Ksh. 6,000 per term.

These fees do not include KNEC examination fees.

Requirements for Admission to Bondo TTI

New students are required to take both photocopies and originals of the following documents on the reporting date:

  1. KCPE Certificate/ Result slip
  2. KCSE Certificate/ Result slip
  3. National ID
  4. Birth Certificate
  5. Former School Leaving Certificate
  6. Two colored passport size photographs

When you report to the college, you are required to collect your registration forms from the registrar who will check your certificates and direct your to the cash office to deposit your bank slip.
