University courses in Kenya

For undergraduate courses in this faculty, a minimum of C+ (plus) in KCSE or equivalent and at least a C+ (plus) in English are required.

Daystar University School of Nursing Courses

Direct entry applicants to the School of Nursing require a minimum of C+ (plus) in KCSE or equivalent, with a C+ (plus) in the four cluster subjects; English, Mathematics/Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.

  • Bachelor of Science (BSc.) Nursing

If you are upgrading from a diploma to BSc in Nursing you should have attained a minimum of C (plain) in KCSE and a diploma in any of the following:

  • Kenya Registered Nursing (KRN)
  • Kenya Registered Nursing and Midwifery
  • Kenya Registered Nursing and Psychiatry
  • Kenya Registered Community Health Nursing
  • A current Nursing Practice license from the Nursing Council of Kenya and 2 years diploma working experience in a Hospital.

Applications requirements in the School of Human and Social Sciences include a minimum of C+ (plus) entry grade in KCSE. The School of Arts and Humanities offers the following undergraduate and post-graduate courses:

School of Science, Engineering, and Health Courses

The Department of Science teaches general science courses to all students and majors in physics, mathematics, and environmental health, currently.

You require a minimum of C+ (plus) in KCSE or equivalent. For Nursing, additional requirements include a C+ in Mathematics, Physics, Biology, Chemistry & English or their equivalent.

For BSc in Applied Computer Science, additional requirements include a C+ (plus) in Mathematics and Physics.

For BSc in environmental Health you also require a C+ (plus) in Biology and Chemistry, and C (plain) in Mathematics or a Diploma in Environmental Health, Diploma in Applied Biology or related areas.

Requirements for the Law course at Daystar University include a minimum of C+ in KCSE or its equivalent, a B plain in English or Kiswahili, or a diploma in Law with a minimum Credit Pass or a Degree in any other field from a recognized institution.

Applicants will also be required to pass an entrance examination administered by the Daystar University School of Law.

      Hi Erick. Congratulations on this great performance. Please take advantage of the various career forums organized by KUCCPS for form 4 leavers, career teachers, and secondary school students.

      The aim of the forum is to:

      Sensitize on available courses in government sponsorship to universities and colleges;

      Create awareness on the process through which students are selected for government sponsorship to universities and colleges;

      Sensitize secondary school students on the subject selection and the role of KUCCPS in assisting them to join their desired university/college and course;

      Explain the process for government sponsorship to university/college, among others.
