Kenya School of Agriculture Courses, Requirements

Kenya School of Agriculture (KSA) is a public college under the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Cooperatives – State Department for Crop Development and Agricultural Research accredited by Vocational Education and Training Authority (TVETA) to offer various certificate and diploma courses in the agricultural field. KSA also trains in Competency-Based Education Training (CBET) as well as short professional courses.

The main campus is located at Wambugu farm in Nyeri county while the four other campuses are in Songa Mbele in Thika, Nakuru, Ainabkoi, and Ugenya in Siaya.

Courses Offered at Kenya School of Agriculture

Diploma courses at KSA require a minimum of C- in KCSE or equivalent, while craft certificate programs require at least a D plain or equivalent.

Short courses on the other hand target specific groups in the field like Extension officers, Land surveyors, Trainers, Environmental policy enforcement agencies, Project coordinators, farmers, farm managers and NGOs.

Diploma and Certificate Courses

Diploma courses are offered in 3 modules while Craft certificate courses come in 2 modules. These courses are examined by the Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC).
