1. Diploma in Community Oral Health (Dental Therapy)

Requires a KCSE mean grade of C and C in English, Biology or Biological Sciences and C- in any two of the following subjects: Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Physical Sciences, Agriculture and General Science.

The course takes 9 trimesters and the fee charged is KSh. 59,550 per trimester.

2. Diploma in Dental Technology

Requires a KCSE mean grade of C and C in English or Kiswahili, Chemistry or Biology, and C- in either Mathematics, Physics or Physical Sciences.

3. Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Surgery

The course requires a KCSE mean grade of C (Plain) or its equivalent and C (plain) in English/ Kiswahili, C (plain) in Biology, and C- (minus) in Chemistry, Mathematics/Physics.

Diploma in Clinical Medicine at MKU runs for 9 Trimesters and is charged KSh. 66,000 per trimester. Intake for this course is done in September only.

4. Diploma in Health Records and Information Technology

Requires a KCSE mean grade of C (plain) or its equivalent, and C- (minus) in English/Kiswahili and D (plain) in Biology, Mathematics or Physics.

The fee charged for each of the 9 trimesters is KSh. 34,550. Digital learning takes 6 trimesters and certificate holders will pay KSh. 29,000 per semester.

On the other hand, a Certificate course in Health Records and Information Technology requires a KCSE mean grade of C- and D (plain) in English/ Kiswahili, and D- (minus) in Biology, Mathematics/ Physics. The certificate takes 6 Trimesters at KSh. 34,550 per trimester.

5. Diploma in Nutrition and Dietetics

This course is accredited by the Kenya Nutritionist and Dietitians’ Institute and requires a KCSE mean grade of C- or its equivalent, and D+ in English, Biology or Biological Sciences, Chemistry or Physical sciences, and D (plain) in any of the following subjects: Physics, Mathematics, Home Science, Agriculture.

The course takes 3 academic years and the fee is KSh. 39,550 per trimester.

6. Diploma in Food Science and Processing Technology

Requires a KCSE mean grade of C with C- in Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics or Physics, Biological Sciences or Physical
Sciences.

Takes 9 Trimesters to complete and is charged KSh. 34,550 per trimester

A certificate in the same course is charged the same amount but runs for 6 trimesters. The certificate course requires a KCSE mean grade of D and D in English, Biology or Biological Sciences, Chemistry or Physical Sciences, and D (plain) in either Physics, Mathematics, Home Science or Agriculture.

7. Diploma in Community Health and Development

This course takes 7 semesters at KSh. 34,550 per trimester and requires a KCSE mean grade of C or its equivalent and
C- in English or Kiswahili and in either Mathematics or Physics or Biology or Chemistry or Physical Science or Biological Science.

9. Diploma in Law

Diploma in Law at Mount Kenya University requires a KCSE mean grade of C or its equivalent, and C+ in English or Kiswahili

This course runs for 9 Trimesters Full-time at KSh. 39,550 per trimester. You require a KCSE Mean grade of C (Plain) and
