Tharaka Technical and Vocational College is a public TVET institution offering market-driven and hands own skills in artisan, certificate and diploma courses for students seeking self-employment, entrepreneurship, or formal employment.
As a public TVET institution, you can apply for course placement at Tharaka TVC through the KUCCPS students portal and qualify for direct government caption of Ksh. 30,000 per year, and HELB Loans of up to Ksh. 40,000 per year.
Intakes are normally done in January, May and September.

Certificate courses require at least a D plain in KCSE, artisan courses require a D- in KCSE. Proficiency courses are open to any grade in KCSE. Diploma courses require a minimum of C- in KCSE.

Tharaka Technical and Vocational College Fee Structure
Fees for public TVET colleges is normally Ksh. 56,420 per academic year. If you apply and get placements through KUCCPS, you will benefit from the Government Capitation of Kshs. 30,000 per year.
If still unable to pay the remaining balance of Ksh. 26,420, you can apply for a HELB Loan of up to Ksh. 40,000.
HELB pays Ksh. 26,420 as part of tuition fees and Ksh. 13,580 is sent to your bank account as personal upkeep.
This fee does not include, external examination fees, accommodation and other admission payments for new students.
