Kenya Coast National Polytechnic, KCNP, formerly Mombasa Polytechnic, is a public TVETA accredited institution mandated to offer technological-based courses ranging from Artisan to Degrees, with a special focus on TVET. KCNP provides access for TVET graduates to further their training and education as well as undertake research and innovation in various fields.
KCNP was selected in 2018 by the World Bank and Kenyan Government to be a Regional Flagship TVET Institution under East Africa Skills for Transformation and Regional Integration Project (EASTRIP).
For this reason, the institution is developing a Regional Centre of Excellence in Marine Transport & Port logistics. A Centre which aims at developing competent graduates for the maritime sector.
Kenya Coast National Polytechnic diploma courses require a minimum of C- (Minus) in KCSE, craft certificate courses require a D (Plain) while artisan courses require at least a KCPE certificate.
