Nairobi Technical Training Institute, NTTI, is a public TVET institution offering diploma, certificate and, artisan courses in health and applied sciences, ICT, engineering, food technology and, business.

Nairobi Technical Training Institute also offers various short courses with intake in these courses taking place every month. Examination bodies for NTTI courses include KNEC and CDACC.

Nairobi Technical Training Institute Courses and Requirements

1. HEALTH AND APPLIED SCIENCES DEPARTMENT

Medical diploma courses in this department require a minimum of KCSE Mean Grade C (Plain) with C in Maths or Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English or Kiswahili.

Engineering diplomas require a KCSE mean grade of C- while certificate courses require a minimum of D (plain) in KCSE.

3. MECHANICAL AND CHEMICAL ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT

10. SHORT COURSES (INTAKE EVERY MONTH)

i. Photo-Voltaic Solar Electricity Technician Course T2 (3wks, evenings & Saturdays)

This course is for Electrical Installation Artisans/Technicians, Electrical Industry Professionals, and Business owners with a KCSE Plus Diploma in Electrical and/or Electronic Engineering OR BSc. Electrical Engineering or relevant Degree OR Higher National Diploma in Electrical Engineering.

ii. Solar Water Heating Technician Course (3wks, evenings & Saturdays)

The course is for Plumbing Technicians, Mechanical/Electrical/Building Industry Professionals, and Business owners with KCSE Plus Diploma/Certificate/Grade Test/Higher National Diploma OR BSc/BTech in relevant Engineering qualifications.

iii. International Certificate of Digital Literacy (ICDL)

Requires a KCSE Certificate. A part-time course that runs for 3 months.

Nairobi TTI Fees

The fee for diploma, certificate and artisan courses is fixed at Ksh. 67,189 per academic year. If you apply through KUCCPS portal you can qualify for HEF sponsorship and HELB TVET loans.
