The Institute of Advanced Technology (IAT) Kenya is an ICT & Business training college mandated by the Ministry of Education and TVET to offer technical training leading to Artisans, Certificates, Diplomas and higher Diplomas in various courses.

IAT Kenya offers three categories of courses:
Diploma and Certificate
IAT Kenya Certificate and Diploma Courses
The minimum admission requirements for certificate courses is KCSE Mean Grade D+ (plus) with D+ in English and D in Mathematics or Business Studies. Duration for certificate programs is normally 2 academic semesters (1 year).
Requirements for the diploma are a mean grade of C in KCSE with a C- in Mathematics or a certificate in a relevant field. Diplomas take up to 2 academic years.
After completing any of these courses you will sit for a KNEC exam and be awarded a certificate from KNEC which is recognized everywhere in Kenya.
IAT KNEC diploma programs require you to have either a mean grade of C- in KCSE or to have passed a Craft Certificate course in a relevant field. Artisan courses require a D- or below in KCSE while Craft courses require a KCSE mean grade of D (plain).
