How to Check KCSE 2023 Results Online on KNEC Portal

Last updated:

The Ministry of Education has abolished the traditional SMS system for checking KCSE results. The previous SMS service, accessible on Safaricom, Airtel, and Telkom lines, cost 25 shillings per message and was plagued with mix-up errors. The new KNEC system, launched by the Education CS Ezekiel Machogu, allows candidates to access their KCSE results online free of charge.

Moreover, schools can receive printed copies of the results shortly after the exams are released. Any discrepancies or issues should be promptly reported to KNEC within 30 days, accompanied by relevant supporting documentation.

The KCSE 2023 results will benefit from the new grading system where only 2 subjects are compulsory; that is Mathematics and the best language (English or Kiswahili or Kenya Sign Language).
