On the other hand, the DStv Explora decoder, together with a smart LNB, goes for Ksh. 10,499. The full kit including the dish costs Ksh. 13,499.
The XtraView Compatibility of the DStv Explora decoder enables you to link it to another decoder within your home with just the same subscription. You will however pay an extra access fee for each extra view connected.

You can link up to 3 decoders in separate rooms, with the extra view function. The DStv Explora decoder is the primary decoder and you can link it to with any combination of 2 DStv Exploras or 2 Single View DStv HD decoders arrangement.
The Explora decoder also allows you can to pause and rewind live TV, schedule recording of your favourite shows, and even rent a BoxOffice movie straight from cinema.

Multichoice Kenya recently adjusted the DStv price of their packages upwards, with the higher packages bearing a bigger change.
